Muslims are encouraged to give charity and help each other. The practice of giving charity and spending wealth in the way of Allah SWT indeed promise many advantages, including the forgiveness of sins. This was highlighted in the Friday Sermon titled 'Keajaiban Sedekah' or the Miracles of Charity.

The Khatib also shared that one who frequently gives charity, will be rewarded by Allah SWT with better rewards and open doors of sustenance for the sincerity. Giving charity is also a practice that has great benefits. By the will of Allah, charity may become a means of warding off calamities, bringing forth remedies and serving as medicine for illness. Those who frequently give charity will be protected by Allah SWT on the Day of Judgment, be helped and protected from the punishment of Hellfire, and have a special gate to Paradise prepared for them. Giving charity also cultivates noble character by eliminating arrogance, greed and selfishness, and purifies the soul from excessive love of worldly possessions. The Khatib urged Muslims to cultivate generosity and guide themselves against miserliness.
